We have Provided Charity Services to the community to over 13 Children Since January - 2022

Kalungi Charity Foundation Limited is a Non-Government Organization started up in 2022 with an aim of fighting against illiteracy and improve on the well being of the children in Uganda. The idea for establishment of Kalungi Charity Foundation Limited, as a non government organization was initiated by Nakawooya Jackline with a burning desire of helping and supporting the critically vulnerable children,the aged,single mothers,illiterates, widows and the unemployed youths with a comprehensive, effective and quality services.

The organization has a targeted focus upon educating children, equipping young adults and empowering Communities, projects that mainstream child rights and gender equality, mentorship, leadership formation, discipleship, skills development and health care. Our projects are community based and they are geared towards sustainability.

Our objectives

1. To provide orphan / semi orphan / street children, a childhood that they never experienced and help them to become useful members of the society.
2. To make available a secure place where orphan / semi orphan / street children can play and enjoy their childhood.
3. To provide basic education to orphan / semi orphan / street children.
4. To provide such welfare services like free lodging, boarding, health and recreation.
5. To provide basic literacy and facilities for those who wish to study further.
6. To select and prepare for a vocation in order to live on their own legs.

Why I started Kalungi Charity Foundation Limited

l started looking after these kids in 2022. What inspired me to take care of these kids is that I lost my father at a little age and of which I did not know who my mother was and where to find her, hence I ended up as an orphan with out anybody to heIp me with a need. From there and then, I started Iiving on streets with no home, no food, cIothes, among others and one of the worst moments I remember when I was on streets, it was a rainy season were I sIept empty stomach in a very coId weather with no bIanket to worm myself. Also when I was on street, I met a Iot of desperate children who were trying to earn a living like me and I started looking after them and sharing the little l have with them. I started with thirteen (13) kids then others joined me up to now.

Am aged 40 years and a resident of Mityana district. As a believer, I know that Lord Jesus Christ has a way for me. We believe Children and young adults in Uganda today will be the next generation of transformation leaders and yet the most vulnerable members of society. Through our life transforming projects and sponsorship opportunities, we are able to meet their needs.
